2005 President Lynne Blake

Lynne Blake, of RCI Real Estate in Williamstown and North Adams has been elected to serve as the President of the Berkshire County Board of REALTOR®. In her inaugural address at the Country Club of Pittsfield, Blake announced that her priorities for the year are varied but the critical focus will be meeting the educational needs of the REALTORS® in our region.

The Board of REALTORS® is launching an aggressive education and events schedule to assist members in the implementation of new Real Estate agency regulations in the state of Massachusetts, scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2005. Blake has committed to bring the highest level of legal, LynneBlake150business development and practical training to the Berkshires, to ensure all members have an opportunity to learn and execute the new rules governing interactions with clients and customers.

This new way of doing business will also require a greater focus on improving professional conduct and Blake has appointed a task force to work on enhancing the Association’s new agent training and mentoring programs as well as a task force to delve into the rules and regulations to govern basic business etiquette practices for REALTORS® in Berkshire County. Over 60 REALTORS® have already volunteered to serve on this task force, and over 100 REALTORS® will be joining President Blake in other volunteer service to the association this year.

By virtue of her Presidency, Blake will serve as a Director on the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS Board of Directors and will serve as Ex Officio Officer on the Berkshire Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors. Blake also serves as a Berkshire REALTOR® Representative for visits to our legislators on Beacon Hill in Boston and Capital Hill in Washington DC. In these positions, she will be responsible to represent the interests of the Berkshire REALTOR® members in business decisions affecting our industry and the private property rights of our residents.

Lynne primarily works out of the Williamstown office on Main Street and makes her home in North Adams with her husband Ed. They have two grown children and are proud grandparents of one granddaughter.

In 2012, Lynne transferred to Carriage House Real Estate.
