address at the Country Club of Pittsfield, Jeff announced that his priorities for the year are varied but the critical focus will be meeting the needs of the REALTORS® in our region, working with local government and business groups to provide housing expertise and improve communications with the media and the membership.

By virtue of his Presidency, Jeff will serve as a Director on the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS Board of Directors and will serve as Ex Officio Officer on the Berkshire Multiple Listing Service Board of Directors. Jeff also serves as a Berkshire REALTOR® Representative for visits to our legislators on Beacon Hill in Boston and Capital Hill in Washington DC. In these positions, he will be responsible to represent the interests of the Berkshire REALTOR® members in business decisions affecting our industry and the private property rights of our residents. Jeff has also accepted a role at the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS whereby he will serve in the creation and amendment of statewide contracts, forms and disclosures needed to lawfully practice real estate in the Commonwealth.

Jeff first entered real estate in 1977 and assumed the reigns of the family-owned company, The Rose Agency. Having acquired the Coldwell Banker franchise in 1998, the company is since known as Coldwell Banker Rose Real Estate and has grown to 14 sales agents. His company focuses on both residential and commercial real estate, and Jeff has completed all of the coursework for the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation, entailing over 20 days of specialized education nationwide. In addition to his successful real estate firm handling residential and commercial sales, Jeff is also active as an owner and manger of commercial investment property.

In addition to his real estate profession, Jeff is also active in the Berkshire community. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Berkshire Music School, member of the Regional Issues Committee of the Berkshire Planning Commission, is a former trustee of the First Baptist Church and a current Rotarian, where he was honored with the Chair of Service Above Self award honoring his commitment. Jeff holds membership in the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce, Berkshire Visitors Bureau and the Lake Onota Preservation Association.

A lifelong resident, Jeff is a 1981 graduate of Colgate University and attended Taconic High School. He resides in Pittsfield and has two children, Courtney and Nicole.
